I don't have much engine building experience, only helping a friend do some minor work on the internals of his boosted civic. I was trying to think of some ways to save some money, and of course, if I were to try and build my own block instead of paying more for a company to do it, I'd save quite a bit of money. I was going to buy a stage 3 block from IPP. I'm really wondering if this would be too hard for me too do. I would have some friends help me along the way. I have, or can get, all the necessary tools to do the build myself (whether I have to buy stuff I do not already have, which is probably only a nice torque wrench). I was talking with Ash and he is coming out with a step by step book on the last car he built (correct me if I am wrong Ash). I am only looking to build it myself as a means to save money. It will be built correctly and painstakingly put together with much double checking Any ideas? Suggestions?
